We are pleased to announce that our company has been selected by Okinawa Prefecture as the organizer for the “Creation of Interaction between the Children of Okinawa and the World on the Occasion of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023”.
We aim to help children, who will be responsible for the future, develop an international mindset by familiarizing them with FBWC2023 and the world, and to provide them with the opportunity to expand their horizons in a variety of fields. The experience of participating in an international sporting event will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the children not only in Okinawa but also around the world.
Summary of the Program:
February 20, 2023 (Monday) to March 17, 2023 (Friday)
Conducted online cross-cultural exchange sessions between eight elementary schools in Okinawa Prefecture and schools in the co-hosting countries (Philippines, Indonesia) and other countries.
The children communicated with each other in English about their schools, traditional culture, food culture, etc., with themes such as “Communicating Okinawa to the World”.
For Okinawan children, this will be an opportunity to rediscover the charms of Okinawan culture. Also, the children performed arts to introduce their own culture and other aspects of Okinawa. We aim to broaden their international perspectives and increase the number of children who want to play an active role in the world by learning about the FIBA joint-host country and the countries participating in the tournament.
