The success of international exchange programs in public schools is made possible through the strong collaboration of many stakeholders within the Philippine public education community. In one of our partner schools in the Philippines, Alubijid National Comprehensive High School, this support can clearly be seen through the dedication of the school head, the teacher in charge, and the continued guidance of their Schools Division Office (SDO) under the Department of Education.
Through WorldClassroom, students are given the opportunity to connect with students in Japan and experience real-time international exchange. These sessions allow them to share their culture, learn about other countries, and practice communication in a meaningful and engaging way.
However, programs like this do not succeed through student participation alone. The leadership of the school head, who supports and encourages global learning initiatives, plays an important role in making the program possible. At the same time, the teacher in charge works closely with students to prepare them for each session and ensure that every exchange runs smoothly.
The video below provides a behind the scenes look at Alubijid National Comprehensive High School during their exchange on January 30, 2026. Created by the students themselves, it shares their experiences and insights, the teacher’s perspective on the purpose of the program, and how they value opportunities for online international exchange. Each school and country approaches IntEx differently, and this video highlights the perspectives and experiences behind the exchange, showing how meaningful these opportunities are for students.
