MOU signed with SD No.4 Mengwi Elementary School in Indonesia.

On May 10, HelloWorld, Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SD No. 4 Mengwi Elementary School in Bali, Indonesia, for continued collaboration through WorldClassroom.

Background and Purpose of the MOU

According to the World English Proficiency Ranking by EF Education First, Japan ranks 80th and Indonesia 81st, which are at the same level of English proficiency. (Reference: “EF EPI (English Proficiency Index) English Proficiency Index” for 2022)

SD. No.4 Mengwi Elementary School has planned and conducted several international exchange classes with Japanese schools through WorldClassroom and has experienced the educational effects of WorldClassroom.

In Indonesia, the government has been making efforts to introduce EdTech in recent years, despite the country’s infrastructure problems such as Internet access. Through this new partnership, we aim to improve English proficiency in Indonesia through WorldClassroom and promote cultural exchange between Japan and Indonesia, thereby providing more children with learning opportunities in public education.

Specific details of the partnership

1) Offering collaborative services to the clients of WorldClassroom and the students of SD No.4 Mengwi to provide them with opportunities for mutual engagement.

2) Organizing collaborative online and/or offline sessions through WorldClassroom.

3) Collaborating to share information about Japanese and Indonesian cultures, as well as student experiences, in order to foster mutual interest.

4) Undertaking additional collaborative initiatives to promote mutual understandings and connections between Japan and Indonesia.

Future Initiatives

We plan to work with the local board of education to coordinate the introduction of WorldClassroom in elementary through high schools throughout Bali.

Together with SD No.4 Mengwi Elementary School, we will create a public education revolution!
